I
get the following error when installing Drive 2004, what is the
problem?
c:\program files\drive2006\states\48.zp5
An error
occurred during the move data process: -106
Component:

File:

You must have a previous
version of Drive running on your system. Please exit that
version and retry the installation.
Can
I install version 2006 over 2003/2004
Yes,
it will replace all Drive! system files, but keep
all your current Notes, Scorecards, Favorites,
... all data you have entered in Drive 2003 or 2004.
Can
I install version 2006 over 2004
2006
will install to a different location than 2004,
unless you specify the destination directory as:
c:\ProgramFiles\Drive2004(or wherever you
installed Drive 2004)
Can
I transfer my golf bag entries from Drive 2004 to
2006?
Yes.
In fact the Drive 2004 golf bag is identical in
format to that in 2006. All you need to do is copy
the file "golfbag.gbd"
from your Drive2004 program folder to Drive2006. Drive2004 installed by default to:
c:\ProgramFiles\Drive2004; Drive2006 installs to:
c:\ProgramFiles\Drive2006.
Why
can't I find a street using the Street Search?
The
street you are looking for may be outside the
current search radius. You set the center of the
search radius by choosing either "zip
code" or "current view" in the
street search dialog box. You determine how far
from that center to search by setting the
"Radius".
Why
do my maps print oddly -- oversized fonts or too
dark?
Choose
to print maps as usual, but in the final dialog
box, choose Properties next to your printer
choice. Lower the print quality by reducing the
dpi or other items listed for your particular
printer.
When
navigating the map, it appears to shift
everything to the right.
There
is a known and still unresolved bug in the
software used to calculate travel routes. If you
have used the Route Computer, all map navigation
will operate in a slightly off-center mode. To
correct the problem (for now), please close down
and re-start Drive! -- we are still working on
this problem [the problem only occurs after a
route has been calculated].
Can
I print a list of more than 15 courses?
No.
Drive is not designed to print large lists
suitable for marketing or mailing.
Can
I export the Drive data for use in mailings ...?
No.
Sorry, Drive is not designed to allow this
capability. Please contact Golf Magazine at
800.760.4553 to inquire about using the same data
for marketing purposes.
Can
I save the results of a search?
You
can save and retrieve the search criteria
you used on a particular query with the Save
and Load buttons, but you cannot directly
save the resulting list of courses. However, the
results list is retained while the program is
running. You can save any courses you are
interested in viewing again in your golf bag by
viewing the course details and clicking [Favor].
